Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint Bonding Agent allows Milk Paint to adhere to metal, glass and painted, varnished or lacquered surfaces. The bonding agent is a water-based concentrated acrylic emulsion. The small size (1 cup or 250ml) covers 70 square feet when mixed with 1 quart of Milk Paint. The medium size (2 cups or 500ml) covers twice that amount. Need a larger size? Bonding Agent is available in Litre or Gallon sizes by special order.
Instructions for use:
Shake well before using. For optimum adhesion, clean the surface to be painted with T.S.P. and sand lightly to roughen the surface. Always test adhesion before applying to a large area.
To use with Milk Paint: For the first coat, mix one part of bonding agent to two parts of milk paint already mixed. For an even stronger grip, mix in equal parts. There is no need to add bonding agent to the second coat of Milk Paint.
To use as a primer for water based paints: Apply a thin layer of bonding agent with a paint brush or roller. Let dry for 2 hours before applying paint.
This product contains no solvents or VOC and is almost odorless. Clean brushes and tools with warm, soapy water. Protect from freezing.
