As of Monday, March 16th we will be limiting in-person retail sales at our Bristol, Rhode Island location through the end of April. We are taking these steps to achieve social distancing in light of the Corona virus and the steps that are being taken statewide to contain the spread of the virus and the Governor’s order to close non-essential businesses.
Our Cape Cod location, Sea Rose Cottage at Simply Vintage of Cape Cod in Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts is also closed to the public during this time. The opening of our new location at 223 Spring Street in Newport, Rhode Island has been delayed until non-essential businesses are able to open in Rhode Island. We will update our website when conditions change.
We will be taking telephone orders from our Bristol, Rhode Island location that can be picked up curbside or, in our case porch-side if you prefer. Please call ahead so we can take your order and payment by phone (401-254-1166). Phone orders can be shipped via UPS Ground as well. Our online shop will be available during this time. Please note we do not have all of our brick and mortar store inventory available online so if you are looking for something, please call us to place your order.
We are also offering once a week local deliveries in Rhode Island every Friday for orders $100 and up with a delivery fee of $10 per order. Pick-up and local delivery orders must be place by phone. We will continue to fulfill online orders via our website with shipments made via UPS Ground.
We are also happy to continue to answer your product questions by phone (401-254-1166), email (nan@searosecottage.com) or messaging via Facebook (searosecottage.us)
We understand that undertaking painting projects can be a great creative distraction during this time. We have some fun and unique paintable surfaces in the shop and would be happy to put a custom kit together for you to meet your needs.
Wishing you and your family health and peace during this watchful waiting period.
Be well.
I am having difficulty choosing the blue. I want the deepest dark blue, less green, and need advice between the Greek Blue and the Napoleonic Blue. When I printed out the colors on my printer I discovered the paint example on your chalk paint chart was very different. The Napoleonic was purpley and the Greek quite a bit lighter. Could you help with a suggestion on what would be best. A navy blue would be my choice. Thank you. Marilyn
Hi Marilyn, Annie Sloan’s Oxford Navy is a new color she added to her palette. Computer screens and printers are calibrated differently so may show colors differently when viewed or printed. People also perceive colors differently as well. Annie’s color card is made from actual paint swatches, not printed ones so they are the most accurate. We also sell sample sizes so you can paint up a larger swatch or work on a small project to test it out first if you prefer. We are updating our website so do not have Oxford Navy listed right now online. Please call 401-254-1166 to place a telephone order. We have porch pick up available as well as shipping by UPS Ground.
